A systems design project aimed at spreading awareness on the innocuousness and normality of menstruation and questioning the myths and taboos surrounding it. Understanding why it is shrouded in secrecy has been a key element in helping us figure ways to combat the misconceptions and come up with solutions, product as well as system level. On determining that there is no system in place in Gujarat (and probably the rest of the country) to deal with sanitary waste, devising a collection and disposal model (for our institute to begin with) formed an important part of this project, which if successful can be taken up by the government and implemented at other localities and institutions
